heh! Weird enough but I never knew live journal existed. I sort of live in my on little world when I was in high school and it got smaller in college. I didn't even get an e-mail address till I was in my twenties.
Mostly I made one so my friends and me could exchange mails because they are so lazy to write snail mail (which I prefer). Amazing! Those idiots never answered back...Except to give me an occasional 'peek' on my birthdays...But I still love them. Coz I grew up with them and figured life must just be really busy where they are right now.
So i joined Friendster to see if I can reconnect to a few highschool/ college acquiantances but realised later on how different my new interest are from the people I went to school with. Thus, my solitude assured, I became obssesed with gardening again and would never have touched another computer ever.
Then my boyfriend left for the states and demanded I e-mail him and that was when I was introduced to the wonders of surfing the web. Where I met friends and eventually led me to open new accounts on different sites coz outside my country, friendster is not that popular.
I have a notebook with all my accounts and password coz I'm lousy when it comes to remembering things like that. The irony of my life. I can remember every story I ever read, right down to when and where, but I miss important details like my ID number...I don't even know for sure what my cellphone number is (the one i have been using for four years now) on the grounds that I only use it to take pictures and send occasional text messages to roughly four people.
So...hmnnn, I'm not sure what I will be placing here. I have to get used to it, which takes forever coz I'm really lazy that way (everything about technology bores me...except maybe a digital camera, that one has actual use in my life) and have even refuse a car due to sheer sloth for want of maintenance. And car sickness.(Another weird thing about me...I don't get sea sick but get really woozy when i take an hour drive in a car).
I love books. I'm a bookworm to the very core and enjoy having one with me always. The older the paper, the more giddy I get. New books can do that to me too but only if its in really mint condition.
I used to paint and sketch a lot, but my current job as a perspective draftsmen have sort of soured my obsession with paints, pencils and paper. It gets to a point where I actually lock them from sight just so I can feel avenged after laboring on a large scale design for one whole week.
Now I frequent the many flee markets in the city looking for found objects to display in my house or just for the sheer joy of hunting for interesting items. I found four sets of antique silver spoons and forks once. I got it for a hundred pesos (roughly $2.00) coz she didn't thought they were much (it was really, really tarnished). I placed them inside a shadow box on black velvet and now hangs in my kitchen in all their tarnished glory.
I don't enjoy flashy things. I find pleasure in seeing a white lace curtain being blown about by a soft wind, or simply enjoy the feel of sand underneath me (specially without the really annoying tourist who litter the ground), and I get heartbroken when I see a kitten or a puppy left alone in the streets. That's the one thing I hate about where I live. There is no animal rights protection group or any animal shelters for stray dogs and cats.
Hmnn, I'll probably edit this but for now I'll just place a picture of me taken a year ago after I graduated from college.
Hugs!
